Core activities

The core activities of Provactis involve development of new processes and products in the food industry. In many situations it will be a combination of both activities.

 

Examples of new processes are isolation of specific enzymes in certain raw materials or purification of valuable components out of waste streams in the food industry. Herewith, we use various techniques, including ion exchange chromatography, precipitation and ultrafiltration. Beside determination of the technical feasibility, it will also be important to look at the economical feasibility of the process. In other words, the project is profitable or not. Is project technically and economically feasible, then Provactis could support the implementation of the process at industrial scale as well.

 

By developing new products, we examined the possibilities to develop new ingredients with a specific functionality. Various issues will be examinated. What is the functionality?
